Here (where i am now) there is a type of expectation that is you want to know something you ask and if you are lucky you will get the information you seek, but in most cases "nobody knows" which either translates to:
1] they actually really don´t know
2] they know but don´t want to tell you and reckon that you will figure it out by yourself
but in the end when all is said and done those same people turn around to you and say "didn´t you know?" with a look of omw-she-seriously-didn´t-know? Of course i didn´t bloody well know, if i had to ask you. But hey, that is just one of the delightful things about this place....
